Covering an area of over 5,000 m2 and accommodating over 60 antique wholesalers under one roof, the Antique Centre Slegers has an established reputation for over four decades in Hamont-Achel and far beyond and is open for visit every working day for all of your antiques.

Over the years, Antique-Centre Slegers has become one of the largest antique centres in Europe. Our collection includes among others antique furniture, pictures, clocks, lamps and decoration of different price ranges and various styles such as Baroque, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Henri II, Gothic and William III. We obtain our daily varying stock of antiques through direct import from different countries such as France, England, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, and Czech Republic … and we export antiques all over the world. We may consider ourselves as one of the largest antique exporters of Belgium and the Netherlands.

Thanks to our many years of experience we know the local antique market inside out. We are familiar with the antique selection of the local antique dealers in Limburg, Antwerp, Brussels, East and West Flanders, Flemish and Walloon Brabant, Hainaut, Namur, Liège and Luxembourg and we know exactly where the to find the best deals. As a result of an intense cooperation with these local antique dealers, they keep us constantly informed on novelties and pearls in their collection. In order to always deliver the best service to our customers, the idea came to us some time ago to organize so-called 'buying tours' or 'buying trips'. We will be pleased to provide brief information how this works.

Our mission is to make a success of every antique buying trip for our customers. This means that you can return home satisfied at the end of the tour with the things for which you have come to us. During your stay, we are there to provide maximum support and to relieve you in every way so that you can focus your full attention to antique at your own convenience and comfort. If you are travelling by air for your buying trip, you are welcome to use our airport pick-up service. We will collect you from the airport upon arrival. You are free to book a hotel room yourself but of course our dedication is to help you. In that case, we will be happy to make your room reservation in a comfortable hotel. If you have a flair for languages, that certainly is convenient, however do not be afraid if you don’t master a language. We gladly provide an interpreter to accompany you.

Once you are settled, we start with the purpose of your visit, namely the antique tour. After a warm welcome at our antique centre, we accompany you to the local antique shops where you can do business with other antique dealers to your heart’s desire. The buying trip is organized fully customized. This means that we visit within the planned timeframe (average of 3-5 days per buying trip, enough to fill a 20feet, 40feet or 45feet container) the antique dealers where you will find exactly what you are looking for within your budget and in the antique style you prefer. If the duration of your stay permits and an antique market or antique fair is organized in the region at the time of your stay and we are aware that you will find there the antique items you are looking for, we can make use of such opportunity to visit the location.

All goods you purchase during the buying tour are collected and stored in our warehouse FOR FREE in the time frame the container is loaded. If you wish, we can also handle the packing of the goods, the loading, the shipping of the container as well as filling out all the necessary paperwork.
